Lisa Boyd is a Certified Event Planner with over 25 years of event management experience, successfully planning and executing all aspects of global conferences. She has served in various roles on the national and chapter levels of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).

Planning is her passion. Creating events from concept through completion and watching all the pieces of the puzzle come together onsite with extraordinary results is her reward. Oprah Winfrey says “Passion is energy. If you do work that you love, and work that fulfills you, the rest will come.” She lives by the motto – “If you fail to PLAN, you plan to FAIL”.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY (with a 25-year layover in NJ), Lisa moved to South Carolina in 2020 during the pandemic with her husband of 31 years. She left behind a sisterhood network that included lifetime friends, and her Book Club sisters “Soul Passages”. Her desire to be a part of a new network is what prompted her to explore launching a Brown Skin Brunchin’ chapter in Columbia, SC. aka “Soda City”

She is also a proud mother of 1 daughter and a GlamMa of 11 year old twin girls.
