| About Me |
Alooooohaaaa!!!
My name is Andrea and I’m the Ambassador for the Brown Skin Brunch Hawaii chapter. although I have lived on island for over 16 yrs, I like to refer to myself as a Mississippi-Floridian. She is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University.
When I’m not on a boat, at the sandbar or at the beach, I can be found serving her country as a Citizen and a Soldier. I’m also a freelance Makeup artist that goes by the moniker Dreamface.
I’m very passionate about current events, social and economic issues community engagements and ALL THINGS Black excellence.
I joined Brown Skin Brunchin as a way to meet and connect with other women of color, who may or may not be new to the island but also looking for a community. Hawaii is a very unique place as it can be very transient for some. It also sits in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with the nearest landmass in any direction being over 3500 miles away. At times it can feel very lonely and isolating and difficult to navigate.
I believe that Brown Skin Brunchin is a stress free way for women to connect and just enjoy themselves and meet other friendly faces that look like them and make them feel like they have a found their community.
