Ambrese Montague is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the gramercy park section of Manhattan. She still resides in her beloved city, but currently in the turtle bay area. Allow me to welcome you to my home, the “concrete jungle where dreams are made of!!!”Employed by the NYCDOE as a social family advocate in elementary, middle and high schools; Ambrese absolutely loves her job of providing both families and students with social/emotional special educational services they need. Knowing that she is helping people daily is a heart warming feeling that is fulfilling beyond any words can describe.Ambrese loves to travel whether it be domestic or international, and has visited over 18 countries and counting. A self proclaimed culinary artist, she enjoys cooking and baking while also recreating some of her favorite dishes from restaurants she frequents. She also enjoys reading and writing, museums, and indulging is tons of self care.A girl’s girl, Ambrese is into glitz, glam and the color PINK! She loves shopping, getting her nails and hair done and her absolute fave … BRUNCH!Ambrese is very family oriented and loves when they’re all together, it’s a time filled with lots of love and endless laughter.Joining Brown Skin Brunchin’ is something Ambrese describes as “a leap of faith”, after realizing that as you get older, the friendships that you’ve built in younger ages; sometimes drift apart due to the different stages people are in their life. Schedules become complex and plans seem to cancel more often than they stick. A change was on the horizon, and this was the first step.BSB is more than a brunch group to Ambrese, it’s a sisterhood. A chance for her to further develop her leadership skills and do what she loves, host people! The idea of getting brown skin women from different walks of life together monthly to bond over a meal and mimosas is such a beautiful thing to witness. Not to mention, this is the perfect way to grow your social/professional network, all while creating new friendships!If you’re ever in NYC, pull up sis!
