Brown Skin Brunchin (BSB) is a social group founded in 2018 that brings women of color together to empower, uplift, and support one another over brunch. We host brunches that celebrate sisterhood and provide safe spaces for women of color to make connections. We are currently seeking ambassadors to join our team!
Position Summary:Brown Skin Brunchin ambassadors are passionate volunteers who plan and host monthly weekend brunch events for women of color in their local communities. Ambassadors serve as the face of BSB, building relationships and creating welcoming spaces for women to connect, empower, and support one another.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and host one brunch event per month in your city, aiming for 10-15 attendees
- Proactively research and secure reservations at local restaurants, submitting details through BSB portal
- Promote events through social media and personal networks
- Arrive early the day of to greet guests and facilitate introductions
- Represent BSB brand by embodying our mission and values
- Participate in onboarding training and ongoing professional development
- Adhere to the ambassador agreement and BSB code of conduct
Qualifications:
- Passionate about uplifting and connecting women of color
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with diverse groups
- Event planning, marketing, or hospitality experience a plus
- Social media and promotional skills
- Organized and responsible, able to manage deadlines
- 2-4 hours per week time commitment
- Desire to gain community service and leadership experience
